Spirit of the Motorcycle” exhibition,
another first for motorcycling in the Mildura area.
This display of rare, significant,
collectable and interesting motorcycles will be held at the WOODEN EYE
ESTATE WINERY at 46 Dewry Avenue, Nichols Point, on Saturday 5th
December from Noon.
Wooden Eye Estate Winery can be
found just 5 kms east of Mildura, along 11th Street
Interesting local machines,
including a vast range of Competition, British, Italian, American and
Veteran / Vintage categories will be on show. The owners of the bikes,
who will be just as interesting as their machines, will be in attendance
to speak with patrons, thus providing the genuine, “Spirit of the
Motorcycle”.
A rare collection of Ducati,
Vincent, Triumph, BSA and Velocette bikes will be on show, as will some
rare competition machines, including Australian Safari Honda; Speedway,
solos and sidecars of both modern and veteran as well as Yamagamma Road
Racing, Motorcross and a classic Norton Wasp, Motorcross Sidecar and
MotoTrials machines.
A good collection of unique Harley
collectable machines will be on show, including the 1200cc Jumping
Harley, which
has just broken Evil Knievel's Harley
jump record.
More than 100 bikes are catalogued for the exposition,
A BBQ and drinks, including drinks
from the Winery, will be available for patrons.
Proceeds from the show will benefit local
charity for homeless youth, Mallee Accommodation and Support Program.
