Shannons updates .................. This is certain to be one of
the biggest events Newcastle will see with the One
and Only Peggy Sue visiting direct from Lubbock Texas exclusively
to attend this sensational event, an absolute dream for our
town, Newcastle and the American Icons Auto Club to host such a
prestigious event with a legendary special guest.
There will be
limited indoor sites available for Show Cars
to be put on display so Myself from Shannons will handle the
site allocations so it will be a requirement to provide adequate
first class cars in order to make this a special display of the
finest American Cars and Hotrods we can from our wonderful
Newcastle and Sydney clubs.
We will also need to ensure that the displays are adequate as well, this will provide a real spectacle for the paying public, the entry fee for the Show Cars is $20 each Indoor / $10 each Outdoor , and will contribute to our special charity, Ronald McDonald House.
So please don't delay, I
am certain demand for indoor spaces will be at a premium
for this One off event.

VIETNAM VETERANS MC (NSW) SHOW – THUNDER WEST 2009Thunder West 2009 is to be held at the Chapter Property at PEARLBROOK near MURRURUNDI NSW Just follow the signs along Timor Road to Scotts Creek Road. The Silverwater Street and Custom Motorcycle Show Silverwater Park. this Saturday night our club is holding a charity car show at
Harry's Cafe-De Wheels at Liverpool to raise money for the fire
victims in Victoria.
We are inviting all American & Australian car clubs to this event to raise as much money as possible entry per car is $10 which we are hoping to have over 200 cars on the night if possible all monies raised will go to the fire victims charity. Fair.Promoted by Oberon Heritage and Collectors Club Inc. and in
conjunction with the 2009 (109th) Annual Oberon Show
Oberon
Displays will feature steam traction engines,
military vehicles, vintage tractors, cars, bikes, trucks and small
collectibles.
Activities includes tractor pulls, balance beam and
ploughing competitions plus more in the showground throughout the
event.
Road runs in the Oberon Shire on Friday 20th February
with lunch stop.
Grand Parade in Oberon's main street on Saturday 21st
February.
Sunday centres on the showground ring events.
Entry to Fair free. All exhibitors welcome.
109th Oberon Show is a traditional show, featuring
bull rides, dog trials, prime lambs and beef, fine wool, arts and

Fair Dinkum Charity Car Show. Hosted by Pinky in conjunction with Penrith Paceway. Penrith Paceway. Penrith entrants from 8.30am till 3pm. Reds DIner will be open for food and drinks during the day, with a donation to funds collected for this event. There will be no trophies, due to the costs incurred unless a Trophy Manufacturer, or Business house is prepared to pay for them. I am determined to keep all costs to the barest minimum. Penrith Paceway is donating the venue for no cost, and is fully assisting with Staff and facilities. Shannons Insurance, as always, is assisting myself in this fund raiser. They are my No.1 Sponsor.
This is the opportunity for the Car and Bike Show Entrants, and Public, to assist the Brigades within the fire ravaged areas of Victoria. This is a genuine CHARITY event and money will be personally handed to the C.F.A. Brigades by Pinky, during the week of 9th to 13th of March 2009, as I will be in Victoria for that week Announcing at Geelong and then Wodonga on those weekends before and after. (check my calendar). The Brigades will be able to use the money towards replenishing their personal safety gear. As a former President, and still current Member of Hawkesbury Headquarters Rural Fire Brigade, I am fully aware of the restraints and demands on our Firefighters personal safety gear during major fire outbreaks. It is for this reason the money will go direct to the affected Brigades. Indirectly this will also be helping those communities. It is anticipated to have a Big Brigade Auction and if any person can encourage Business Houses to donate some goods for the same please get in contact with myself. If you can help, ring me. Special Mention of praise must go to the many Clubs, that are assisting this event to be a success. Thanks to The Macquarie Towns Hot Rod Club who are donating $500 to this event. I can only say THANKS, and that seems hollow, but I truly appreciate their kind gesture. All vehicles, (Car or Bike), $20. Passengers Free.
