Lake Gairdner Speed Trials - 2007
It is a very remote location,
the nearest town of Iron Knob being some 121 kilometers (75 miles) from
the turn off to the Mt. Ive Station.
Travelling time from the Victorian capital city of Melbourne is about 21
hours and Sydney, New South Wales about 25 hours.
It is about a 6 hour trip from Adelaide to
Port Augusta.
Most crews stay at the
Big 4 Caravan Park
at Pt. Augusta on the Friday night before heading out to the Lake on the
Saturday.

Cruise to the Historic Races Philip
Island Vic.
With the support of Shannons
Insurance and The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit, we have secured
priority parking for owners chrome bumper era cars to participate in
Australia's Premier Historic Motor Sport event.

With many international entries and
the best of Australia's historic race cars to entertain and get up close
to, join our cruise down to the island and spend the day immersed in
sight and sound of high performance cars of the past.
Cruise Assembly Point
- Tooradin
Cruise Departure - 8:30am
Cruise Route
The Cruise to the Grand Prix circuit leaves from Tooradin on the South
Gippsland Highway at 8:30am.
Look for the CRUISE signs as you enter Tooradin, park and come to the
Let’s Go Cruisin’ Tent, present your entry receipt, collect your
tickets, grab some breakfast or a coffee from one of the cafes, and be
ready to cruise at 8:30am. Sharp.
As we are entering the circuit through a priority gate, to have a
smooth, no hold ups entry, it’s important that the cruise pretty much
arrives together. You will receive a map of the track with the gate
location in your information pack.
We expect the cruise to the circuit to take about 1 hour from Tooradin.
Make a full weekend of it and join
us the next day for something a little more relaxing at Cruisin' Main
St. in Mornington.

Craft Market At the other end of Main St [ about 3 kms ] is a huge craft
market at the Mornington Racecourse. We have arranged a free shuttle bus
from the Park to the Craft Market. We will run this continuously from
9:00am to about 2:00pm. Entry is free! If you cruise there, you'll pay
$3/car to park.
Entertainment We have a great live band pounding out the tunes for your
enjoyment.
Real Car Guy/Gal We plan to announce the newest ACDelco Real Car Guy
recipient at 2:00pm.
 Live entertainment in the Park,
giveaways and prizes and with plenty of chrome bumper era cars to check
out cruising, a good day is assured.

25th Annual Harold Parson Memorial Run
Maffra. Vic
Harold set 24 world records on a
triangular course between Sale, Stratford and Maffra. He broke all
records from 300 to 1100 miles (480 to 1760Kms) and from 6 to 24 hours
riding a 600cc Indian Motorcycle. Harold won many championships in four
states of Australia. Harold Parson died at Epping on the 15th May 1921
when he collided with a horse whilst on a Sunday morning test run. He
was only 28 years old.
