25th Orange Country Bike Rally. The
Classic Enthusiasts Motorcycle Club Central West Branch
The Orange Country Bike Rally will be
based at the Scout Camp near Lake Canobolas and will take in towns and
villages around the district such as Stuart Town, Mumbil and Cumnock.
About 90 riders have already signed up
for this year's rally with local riders being joined by riders from the
Central Coast, Sydney, Illawarra, Albury and Griffith with classic bikes
including Harley, BSA, AJS, Velo, Triumph and Norton.
Bikes will be entered in five
categories: vintage (pre 1930), pre-war (1930-45), post-war (1945-55),
classic (1955-56) and post-classic (1956-74).
Mr Evans said the oldest bike entered
so far was a 1924 Triumph.
Judging will take place on Saturday
during lunch at Cumnock, when special 25th Anniversary Rally trophies
that have been hand made by members will be awarded to the category
winners, best outfit and Top Bike of the Show.
The club welcomes riders with
motorcycles from all eras, particularly bikes of club plate age eligible
for judging, to participate in the rally.
