The Rocklea Showground (cnr Goburra Street &
Ipswich Road Service Road) is the new home of the GreazeFest Kustom
Kulture Festival,
Hot Rod show, which will be a huge day of
wicked rods and rides, Kustom bikes, two stages of hip shakin'
rockabilly, plus the much celebrated low brow art show, pinstripers,
tattoos and more,

Lakeside Classic Speed Fest. Australian Trans-Am Championship, Round 4
Lakeside Park – Lakeside Road,
Kurwongbah. (Lakeside Park is also only 10 minutes walk from Dakabin
railway station)
Many Queensland motor-racing fans will
remember round four of the Australian Touring Car Championship at
Lakeside in April 1991, when Richards planted the Skyline on poll and
went on to blitz the field. Richards and team mate Mark Skaife crossed
the line for a one/two finish, with Richards lapping the entire field up
to fifth position!

The two mighty “Godzillas” will also be driven by their current owners
in the Group A & C touring car race category at the Lakeside Classic
Speed Fest, giving fans a chance to see the infamous machines in all
their glory once again.
Other touring car classes to take you back in time include Group N and
the ever-popular Australian Trans Am Championship. Group N will see
titanic tussles between Aussie legends such as Falcon GTs, XU1 Torana's,
Ford Escorts and Holden Monaro's, while the Trans Am series unleashes
the fattest group of American muscle this side of Detroit.
Entry is $20 Saturday, $20 Sunday, $30
weekend pass, children 12 and under free, students 13-16 and pensioners
$10 each day, payable at the gate
The Lakeside Classic Speed Fest
also features trade stalls, the Shannons Super Rig and the Queensland
Motorsport Museum.

Mitsubishis, Nissans, BMWs etc - and the older classics of the McHitch
Touring Car Challenge – Fords, Holdens, Nissans, etc including the HDT

annual "Back to 63" Rock 'n' Roll and car Show 'n' Shine,
North Ipswich Park, (UBD map 213, G 14)
all classic cars and hot rods are welcome, this
year a cruise to start the event is leaving from BP Boundary Rd at
8.30am,
through out the day there will be a live Rock 'n'
Roll band, swap meet plus many memorabilia and other stalls unique to
the era, vendors can incorporate used or home made Rock 'n' Roll
clothing, retro and other associated items,

Again we have FREE camping for
our Entrants only (thanks to the Country Life
Hotel's generosity) so come along and enjoy the
entire weekends entertainment.
Friday night You will be
able to show off your talents at the Karaoke
night with "Kamel" the resident DJ. Or just
relax around one of the fires catch up with
mates.
Saturday We are going on a
scenic cruise through the Hinterland stopping at
the 'Appollonian Hotel 'at Boreen Point for
Lunch. Then we get to go and enjoy come classic
car movies. They don't get any more Classic than
1920's Silent movies at the Majestic Theatre in
Pomona. This theatre is officially recognised as
the only place in World you can still
experience a fully operational Silent Picture
House. After the movie we go "Just over the
road" to Lozzas Rock and Roll Cafe for a coffee
or a shake. Then back to Kin Kin with time to
relax, chat and prepare yourself for the nights
entertainment.
Sunday Show and shine
arrival (for the non campers) and setup from 7
am Breakfast available from 7.30am
Gates open to the Public at
9.00am so we need all cars inside and setup
before then. Rock and Roll band playing from mid
morning. Stall holders Hot food and Cold drinks
available on the grounds and also at the Hotel.

Fighting for the rights of
all Motorcyclists, Road Transport Operators, Farmers, Small Businessmen,
and in general those who believe that it is past time that the common
man finally had a true representative in Canberra.
We need,
Genuine
Australian wide one set of road laws with one interpretation. We live in
one country, not six sovereign states.
A real
enquiry into the safety of Wire Rope Barriers, I challenge any State
Government to show their research on the interaction of WRB's and
Motorcyclists. Genuine representation for Motorcyclists. Almost 25% of
Licensed Queensland motorists have motorcycle licence, yet they tell us
repeatedly we are only 3% of road users.
Government must accept and implement the will of the people. An inquiry
into a Bill of Rights called for its introduction yet Labor said no bill
of rights though they are required via their membership of the Socialist
International to work to enshrining this in law
Transport operators need to be recognised for the outstanding and often
difficult job they do, with a fair return on investment.
Farmers
need to be guaranteed the right to farm won’t be affected without
just compensation, no being overrun by the miners ripping the heart
out of quality farming land.
Prison
Reform all the majors want to increase punishment, because that’s what
they think we want. What we need is Rehabilitation that works. We have
one of the highest reoffending rates in the world this needs to be
reduced. Stop reoffending should be the number 1 priority of all law and
order campaigners.
Small Businesses as a group are the largest single employer group; they
need to be looked after by Government not ignored.

is a biker and is fighting for our rights and the rights of all
motorcyclists, road transport operators, farmers, small business owners
and those that have had enough and want a real bloke in Canberra.

"Corvettes on the Coast".
Queensland Corvette Club Concourse
Southport Broadwater Parklands, (across the
road from Australia Fair Shopping Centre). Southport
Entrants are reminded of the strict access restrictions for this venue
due to the neighbouring Science Fair. Bollards WILL be installed at
8:30am sharp to prevent vehicle access and permit safe pedestrian
movement through until 3pm. If you cannot accept this basic
requirement, please don't enter your Vette.
This is a Gold Coast City Council requirement and remains beyond the
control of our volunteers and
organisers.
There will be trade stands, rock 'n' Roll music, product displays and a
BBQ going. The Gold Coast
Science Fair will be held on the adjoining oval so plenty of spectators
are guaranteed.
All Corvettes are welcome regardless of condition and must sign in
between 7am & 8:30 and stay in- place until 3pm. Due to the
neighbouring Science Fair, vehicle access will be restricted to these
times ONLY.
