2010 Queensland
Racing Drivers Championship Rd 2
Queensland Raceways.’ Lakeside Park.
Lakeside Rd. Kurwongbah

The
legendary Holden Gemini category will return to Queensland Raceway over
the ANZAC Day long weekend for round two of the 2010
Queensland Racing
Drivers Championship.
The
Geminis last appeared at Queensland Raceway in November last year when
they trounced the HQs in the thrill-a-minute Golden Holden One Hour.
Up to
100 cars, spread across six categories, will battle out this Queensland
Racing Drivers Championship round over two action-packed days on
Saturday, April 24 and Sunday, April 25. Out of respect for the ANZAC
memory racing will commence on Sunday, April 25 at 1pm and run through
until 6pm.
QR
Racing Cars is the only open wheeler category at this race meeting,
complementing five groups of tin tops, made up of the Trans-Am Series,
Improved Production, Saloon Cars, QR Sedans & Sports Cars and Group N
historic touring cars.
The
Australian Trans-Am Championship made up of American big bangers such as
Mustangs, Camaros and Firebirds from the 1964 to 1974 period. The
Trans-Am cars are a visual and aural delight to watch as they power
their way around the QR circuit with tyres struggling to cope with the
thumping V8 muscle.
