Palmyra
Dragway - Keep Speed off the Streets
Palmyra
Dragway. Bells Road, Palmyra. Mackay. (which is about a 15 minute
drive from the city of Mackay).
We have
renamed our test n tunes to Keep Speed off the Streets to encourage
more people to come and race at the track and not on public roads,
and also to gather more support from the wider community.
For
those wishing to try out their car or bike, “Keep Speed off the
Street Challenge” is legal Off Street Racing is just the thing for
everyone wishing to experience the thrill of Drag Racing without the
pressure of competition. You can race whenever you want and whoever
you want. It is a great opportunity to race your mates or partners
(yeah girls it’s not just for the guys!!!) in a controlled
and safe environment.
These
events are run on every second Friday in the month competition
starts at 6:30pm through until around 9:30 pm.
Gates
open at 6pm, scrutineering from 6-8pm, racing from 7-9:30pm.
Long
sleeved clothes, enclosed footwear, AS compliant helmet and a
roadworthy vehicle (registration not needed).

All makes of bikes and
riders welcome. Rain, hail or shine. Entry Fee $15 including badge,
games, live music, rally trophies, amenities, shaded camping, multi
draw raffles, separate car park, bar facilities, catered.
No attitudes, No
glass, people with dogs will be refused entry. Fully catered,
Friday night, Saturday breakfast, Saturday lunch, Saturday dinner,
Sunday breakfast.

Australia Day Rally - Bayside Vehicle
Restorers Club Ormiston
State School, Ormiston, QLD
The rally starts
at Ormiston State School with a free BBQ breakfast
from 7.00am and car display followed at 9.30am by a
Rally through the Redlands.
The event is
free and attracted over 400 classic and Historic &
Veteran & Vintage vehicles last year.
