Ø Thankyou for including the Careflight Fundraiser Show & Shine & Car Display at Tahmoor NSW on September 14th in your calendar of events Ø For your readers’ information, the Show n Shine part of the event is being organised by three motoring enthusiast clubs in the Wollondilly area. These clubs are the Berrima & District Historic Vehicle Club, the Razorback Crankhandlers Historic Vehicle Club, and the Highland Cruisers Rod & Custom Club. Ø We hope that the day will be based on having fun, not getting too serious, understanding each other’s individual vehicle passions, and supporting a cause that we hope like hell we will never need. Ø The event will be a “no names, no pack drill affair” and we invite any motoring enthusiast who is lost in the Wollondilly area on September 14th to join in. Even though we say we would like vehicles parked from 8:45 am until 3:30 pm, I assure your readers that we won’t be laying down any road-spikes and we won’t have any armed guards on the gate. The Harry Firth “Life Celebration”
Dinner Newcastle Jockey Club, Broadmeadow (3mins from the CBD). The venue features areas where cars can be displayed as well as providing car parking for over 300 cars. In conjunction with Toranafest, this dinner promises to be one of the highlights of the Motorsport calendar. It will be a special night that will include paying tribute to not only the man and his time with Holden and the Holden Dealer Team, but also his exploits before and after this time. This event will be open to the public after an advance order period that will be offered to Dinner Sponsors, selected local car clubs and interstate entrants of Toranafest. We envisage between 300 – 500 people to attend on the night, (the venue can hold up to 700 people!!) and we will be inviting a number of Motorsport legends, both past and present, to come and celebrate this milestone of Harry’s with us. We are also looking at other ways, such as audio/video presentations, to make this night a special night for not only Harry, but for those who are attending. It promises to be a great night!! The cost of the dinner will be $99.00 pp and this will include a three course meal and a five hour beverage package that will include beer, wine and soft drinks.
