The average age in Penrith will increase
during March 16-22 next year when more than 5000 bikers aged over 50 are
expected to descend on the city.
The Ulysses Motorcycle Club, for older
riders, will hold its AGM in the city.
A Penrith Council report of April 7
said the AGM could generate in excess of $10 million.
A grand parade will be held on
March 21, as a thank you gesture to residents.
The two-hour parade will start at
Jamison Park, go along Jamison Rd and Evan St to High St and finish at
the Showground.
Most other activities will take
place at Panthers, with displays in the Pavilion, a registration area
near the former Cables Ski Park and a temporary facility near the
Adventure Golf.
Guests will camp on the Carpenter
site (council land on Mulgoa Rd and the Great Western Highway), with a
temporary connection into Panthers.
