Read this letter, (below), and see the difficulties some Promoters have to ensure we can have a Car and Bike Show.
Obviously some Councils, and venues, have very negative attitudes towards their constituents and community when they are in the position to help and benefit the Community. After all, they have been voted into their positions and it is amazing how many of them soon forget the reason they are there. They also forget, or bother not to care, about the 2.3 million dollars this event has injected into the local community.
Debbie and Lee are two of the most genuine people you could ever meet and they have suffered many times, just to ensure the event happens each year. After all, how many people can say they sold their precious Chevrolet, just to help the event continue a few years ago. They arranged a Loan, just in case they received a fine, from the EPA, for the burnouts in 2009. Numerous other examples of their honesty and donations to Charity could be listed by myself.
I hope everybody supports this event, as they have in the past, and at least we are helping the kids of tomorrow at the High School.
